Welcome to our user group web site! There are currently over one hundred System i installations from Oregon and southwest Washington that are members of the Cascade User Group, and we'd like to invite you to join our ranks.

Our mission is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information on all System i related topics. This includes programming techniques, operational procedures, management tools, performance analysis, software and hardware product evaluations, etc. Cascade meets one afternoon per month, with most meetings being held in Portland and two per year held in Salem or Eugene. Our programs have included such items as technical presentations by outside consultants and by IBM, feedback from COMMON and IBM Technical Conferences, techniques on connecting PC's to the System i, and user's experiences with hardware failures, recovery, and backup.
